ELAIS 15 Micron Final Analysis Version 1.0 Data Products

Welcome to the ELAIS 15 micron Final Analysis web page, repository of data products from the Final Analysis (FA) of the European Large-Area ISO Survey (ELAIS) 15 micron observations, which was carried out by a team in Padova and Bologna, Italy, between January 2001 and December 2003.

ELAIS was the largest project undertaken in ISO open time. Chosen on the basis of their extremely low background infrared emission, and building on the extensive multi-wavelength coverage assembled both by the ELAIS consortium and by later "spin-off" collaborations such as SWIRE, the ELAIS fields have become some the best known large-area cosmic windows, hence the need to reduce these observations with the uttermost care.

The ELAIS 15 micron FA data reduction process employed and improved the Lari Method by Lari et al. 2001, MNRAS, 325, 1173, and is described in Vaccari et al. 2005, MNRAS, 358, 397. ELAIS 15 micron FA Data Products provided on this page include the 15 micron source catalogue, the largest extragalactic catalogue produced by any single ISO project, together with flux, noise, S/N and sky coverage maps for ELAIS S1, N3, N1 and N2 fields. The 15 micron catalogue was merged by Rowan-Robinson et al. 2004 with the available multi-wavelength follow-up to produce the ELAIS Final Band-Merged Catalogue.
